How to use a sequence, not a single email
One reminder is a request. A sequence is a policy. The difference for slow payers is enormous, because a policy is not personal and cannot be worn down. Send the courtesy note before the due date, the friendly one the day after, the firm one a week later, and the final notice with the fee at two weeks. Then stop emailing and pick up the phone. Schedules by payment terms cover net 7 through net 60.
